We offer 3-5 day residential Pony Camps, with 25 years of experience delivering adventure holidays of a lifetime.
We are a fully accredited BHS and Pony Club Centre. Suitable for beginners and improvers, or experienced riders, we offer lessons, trail rides, picnic rides, stable management, jumping, gymkhanas, shows and cross country, all on schoolmaster horses.
Children are allocated their own horse and instructor for the week, and the week is really whatever they want to make it!! If they want to improve their jumping - they can! If they want to go exploring the beautiful South Shropshire Hills - they can! If they want to learn loads about stable management - they can! The children have the opportunity to achieve their own goals on the holiday.
The camps are all inclusive, all food is home cooked on site by our wonderful cooks Carol and Karen. The children stay in comfortable dormitories at the Old Vicarage Adventure Centre, which as well as being staffed 24 hours a day, is also a family home with children. The Outdoor Adventure Liscensing Authority has called us the Best Safety Example in the country!!
The Centre is exclusive to the children on Pony Camp week, and children have the opportunity to have a go at all of the Old Vicarage Adventure Centre activities on the evenings. What other Pony Camp offers amongst others, abseiling, rock climbing, archery, swimming, quad biking, mountain boarding and paintball as an evening activity?!

A Typical Day at Pony Camp
8am-Have Breakfast
8.30am-Boots and hats on and down to the yard to get the horses in, groomed, tacked up and ready for the day ahead
10am-Go on a 3 hour ride over Shopshire hills stopping off at the ice cream shop
1pm-Have lunch
1.30pm-Get horses tacked back up!
2pm-4pm-Show Jumping or Cross- Country lesson followed by some gymkhana races
4pm-5pm- Horses un tacked, washed off, groomed, fed and put out.
5pm-6.30pm - Time to have some dinner and a shower
6.30pm-Evening activity-laser tag/orienteering/climbing/zip line etc etc!
8pm-Tuck shop and horsey dvd time
THE CAMP KICKS OFF FROM 9.30AM ON DAY ONE AND FINISHES AT 3.30PM ON THE FRIDAY.
