In addition to these we have a number of loan and lead horses, which supplement the long-term residents at Country Treks, but each horse/pony is selected for their temperament and suitability

HENRY THE DONKEY
Henry the Donkey is our very loving member of them team! He often forgets he's a Donkey and likes to come in when we bring the ponies in for rides. He loves being groomed and fussed.
BOBBIE
Boobie is Shadows foal, he was born Easter weekend 2010. So is the youngest member of the team. A real cheekie chappie!!
THUNDER
Thunder is new to Country Treks and quickly earned he's place with us. He has a great nature and is a pleasure to ride!! Thunder has quickly become a favourite for our regular customers, so book him up in advance!
JACK
Jack is Steph's (Country Treks owner) stunning 16.3 hh gorgeous gentleman. Although he's a giant in size, he's very gentle and loving. A great ride if you can prise him away from Steph!!
PERFECT PETER
A new member of the four legged team. Peter is a cute 12.2 grey and really is perfect. He's loves hacking, jumping and being in the school.
BEAUTY
Named after Black Beauty!! We have recruited Beauty for the summer months, she loves taking people out on long hacks through the countryside.
MERRYLEGS
Merry legs is a real cutie loved by all. He loves taking our tiny tots out for 'pony and play'!
SHONA
Shona is our gymkhana/jumping superstar!!! She goes reguarly to competitions and always wins the jumping. Great for older kids or small adults, she is a brilliant hack - fast but with brakes!!
HERBIE
Herbie is on her fourth visit to Country Treks!! She used to be on loan to us, but Steph ended up buying her because she's so great!! Herbie is a little more mature than some of the horses at Country Treks but don't let that fool you - she's fast as ever and a brilliant jumper!!! For those of you that have our Country Treks brochure, it's Herbie's head in the horseshoe!!!
ARCHIE
Our absolutely stunning skewbald 16hands dressage/jumping star!! Ex 3 day eventer. Forward but sensible, an absolute pleasure to ride.
RUBY
Cute but speedy! Ruby is an 11.2hh gorgeous strawberry roan pony. She is fantastic with the littlies on the leadrein, but perks up with a competent rider. She loves to jump and is ace out on hacks, sometimes beating the big horses!
APACHE
Apache (or patch if you're not into French) is a gorgeous coloured cob. He is a superb hack, a real confidence giver. This clever chappy is also a trained driving horse along with his pal Champ, who both came from the same yard!
CHAMP
Champ is a lovely cob with an amazing temperament. He is only a youngster and incredibly well behaved given his age!! He is bags of fun, great fun to hack and jump. A real superstar, loved by all!!
MISTY
Misty is a 14.2hh superstar. A very fun little horse, she is beautifully schooled and incredibly responsive. An absolute delight ro ride, Misty makes a great hack, fast, full of beans, and loves to jump!!
SHADOW
Shadow is a very kind and willing horse, who loves going out on her hacks. She has a very laid back temperament and is a great confidence giver. Currently out of work as she has had a foal!
BEN
Ben is a gorgeous 14.2hh schoolmaster. He is fantastic to jump, a real favourite to learn on. He has won loads of shows and is always placed. An absolute superstar!!!
WILLIAM
William is a gorgeous 15.2hh chesnut gelding with a flaxen mane and tail. At just four years old he is our baby! Despite his age, he is very adaptable and takes everything in his stride. Frank Levinson (worldwide renowned horse trainer) described him when he worked with him as "The best horse I've ever worked with - a real star." William is a true prospect for the future and is coming on in leaps and bounds!
CADDIS
Caddis was bred from a working Shire horse on a working farm in Wales. He is a genuine gentleman; kind and willing, a superb confidence giver. Stocky, yet comfortable, he is a brilliant weight carrier. He loves his job and so is a great choice for longer rides!
BUDDY
Buddy is gorgeous, and boy does he know it! The 14.2hh Welsh Section D is fully registered and out of a top Welsh sire. Fun ride for competent teenages or a comfy ride for smaller adults. He has a beautiful head carriage and loves to jump!
MICKEY
Mickey is our angel! He is a delightfully mannered schoolmaster who will take a novice or experienced rider. He has a fabulous jump and is great fun out on hacks! An absolute super star!
GEORGE
George is a real cutie, whom everyone adores. He is fast but very safe and enjoys jumping, lessons and hacking, a great confidence giver. He is very cute natured and adores lots of grooming and fuss.
JASMINE
Jasmine is a lovely 15.2hh bay cob mare. She is a good jumper and enjoys lessons in the school. Jas is a fun ride, forward going, but with excellent brakes. She has good head carriage and is a real comfy ride enjoyed by all. She is very trustworthy and is a firm choice for more nervous riders.
SIMON
Simon is a gorgeous 13hh Schoolmaster jumping Pony.He qualified for a national trailblazer competition last year but was sadly outgrown by his last owner. Beautifully schooled, he is very responsive with a bouncy rhythmic canter.
FRANKIE
Frankie is a 14hh Bright Bay Gelding. he is an excellent all rounder, a real Pony Club type. He really good at jumping and is a fun ride for teenagers and small adults. He absolutely adores hunting.
LUCY
Lucy is a ex Ponyclub pony. She is forward, fun and safe. Jumps, hacks, dressage. Lucy does it all and is also great fun for a lightweight adult. She is a pretty bay mare with a gorgeous attitude and totally safe, but really good fun. A real schoolmistress.
TOBY
Toby is a 14.3hh Bay Gelding, and the Country Treks star!!! He is an ex JA jumping pony from Ireland who was a prolific winner in BSJA Showjumping competitions. So of course now his job is to teach showjumping and boy oh boy is he a good teacher! He is also a really fun hack, forward going and really well schooled. Everyones favourite, Toby is always in demand.
ANNIE
Annie is a very pretty 16hh skewbald mare. She is an absolute arm chair ride but is forward going and responsive. 100% trustworthy, an absolute favourite with all kinds of riders.
SPRITZER
Spritzer is a 14hh chesnut gelding. He loves hacking, hunting and jumping! Spritzer is a brilliant jumper and has real potential to go far.
SCOOBY GIRL
Scooby girl is an extremely cute and cuddly 11hh scewbald mare. An absolute favourite with the littlies, she is a super responsive ride. You really will want to take this one home with you!!! She loves cuddles and carrots!
PADDY
16hh Irish gentleman. The perfect lead horse - perfect manners, beautiful paces. Absolutely loves hacking, jumping and hunting, a real star in every way. Recently appeared in Your Horse magazine!! A true favourite with everyone who rides him.
JAMES
James is a 16hh handsome dark bay. He is a gorgeous boy, an absolute gentleman in every way. Forward and responsive, he is very willing, a really beautiful ride and a favourite for day and trail rides.
SMOKEY JOE
Smokey Joe is 12.2hh grey gelding. He is a super little pony who loves jumping and is very quick against the clock! He also loves hacking and is very sensible. He will go at the front or the back of a ride. Smokey Joe is everyone's favourite - everybody wants to ride him!!! he loves fuss and loves having a groom!!
HADLEIGH
Hadleigh is an energetic 13.2hh Black fell type pony. Very very cute woolly little man. Brilliant safe fun for children or nervous adults, but easily keeps up with the big guys too! Wonderful temperament.
