Glamping Tents & Pods

This is camping with a difference. Riders will stay in beautiful glamping pods and safari tents, blending the adventure of camp with home comforts. Think cosy beds, twinkling lights and evenings under the stars....

An Unforgettable Experience

The days are action packed with riding, but evenings bring the magic too! Toasting marshmallows by the campfire, outdoor activities including paddle sports and laser tag and tucking into hearty meals after a day of adventure.

From kind, confidence-giving ponies ready to take you on your very first gallop, to experienced schoolmasters who can guide you round a full course of show jumps, right through to competition horses for those who love dressage and jumping – we’ve got it all.

Our team is experienced, friendly, and absolutely loves Pony Camp – it’s the highlight of our year! With over 20 years of running camps, we know exactly how to create the holiday of a lifetime for every rider. Our highly qualified coaches are not only fantastic teachers, but also brilliant at building confidence and life skills along the way. That’s why campers return to us year after year – from all over the UK and even as far as Dubai!

We are set in the beautiful South Shropshire countryside in our own 30 acre nature reserve complete with:

Our trail rides and hacking include some fabulous off road riding which may include herds of wild ponies on the hill or the local deer in the Wyre Forest.

We are so lucky to have so many scenic routes.

The Friendships

One of the best parts of Pony Camp is the camaraderie – campers often make lifelong friends, all bonded by their shared love of horses.

Evenings are just as special as the days, filled with fun activities, team challenges, and shared meals that create unforgettable memories. The friendships and laughter around camp are every bit as important as the riding itself.

We’re proud that many of our “ex-campers” still return each year – often with the same friends they first met over a decade ago!

THE VARIETY

We give our pony campers the chance to try everything. Each small group can help plan with their instructors the timetable for the week. We do it all! Lessons, hacks, trail rides, picnic rides, show jumping, cross country, mounted games, polo cross, western, jockey school and dressage. There is never a dull moment with the highlight often being the jumping and competitions.

We also now have an olympic size arena and new cross country course which means plenty of variety!

Eat Sleep Ride

This year, Pony Camp accommodation is better than ever! Alongside our brand-new Glamping Pods (sleeping up to 5 in cosy wooden pods with a purpose-built shower and toilet block nearby), we’re excited to introduce our Luxury Safari Tents – the ultimate camp upgrade. Perfect for a little extra style and comfort, they make camp feel like a real adventure with a touch of luxury.

And of course, all camps are fully catered by our very own chef, serving up hearty homemade meals every day (with pancakes that are always a big hit!). Special diets are happily catered for, so everyone leaves the table smiling.

EVENING ACTIVITIES

Just when you think the fun is over!
We go the extra mile... on an evening after a busy day in the saddle you will find yourself sitting by the campfire toasting marshmallows, running round the woods in an epic battle of Laser Tag or on the jumbo stand up paddle board trying to get your camp mates soaked!
Late night fun and smiles all round. Nowhere else can offer our range of evening activities on site which could also include Joust, Slippery Pole, Archery, Outdoor Cinema, Climbing, Caving and more....

Availability & Costs

We have 12 spaces available each week, with specialist camps for beginners and senior teenagers. Camps are allocated according to age and ability, please email the office enquiries@horsetreks.co.uk to find out the best fit and remaining availability.

Our camps are 4 Days (Monday to Thursday) and £650 all inclusive.
