We have a wide variety of treks of various lengths, all have been explored on many occasions, although some do leave us great opportunities to get lost! We are based in a small, quiet village called Stottesdon and the area is full of rolling fields, pretty lanes and woodland tracks, we really are in the perfect location.
Our treks stretch over distances from 1hr to full two day trail rides over to Ludlow, the Brown Clee and further a field!
A few favourites are the old railway line; a disused railway following a woodland track that goes for miles leading up to the Brown Clee, this route can be shortened or lengthened from anything as short as 1hr.
When we say we are lucky to be based where we are we really mean it, the views are simply stunning and the routes take in all this scenery whilst incorporating all different types of terrain. You won’t be disappointed!

Treks and Hacks
Specialist Rides
At Country Treks we provide more than just your average hack. If you’re looking to treat someone for a special occasion, enjoy something new with a group of friends then look no further.
Sweet Treats
Enjoy our lovely treks from 1hr to 3hr rides followed by cream tea, Pimm's, BBQ, champagne or even mulled wine and mince pies at Christmas. We have the best of both worlds at Ginny Hole; winter in the log cabin café in front of the fire or a summer on the decking or relaxing by the lake; the perfect place to have post ride chats about your adventure on horseback.
Groups/ Parties
We frequently hold gatherings for University Groups, Hen Parties, Birthday Parties and Stag Do’s. We are happy to arrange bespoke bookings and mixed ability rides are no problem. Our super friendly team of staff will ensure that you have the best possible experience, it’s what we do best!
We are very fortunate to have a second base on the Brown Clee hills; each year during selected periods we take a team of 5 horses who are based on the hill for a few weeks/months at a time.
The Brown Clee hill rides are simply stunning, views for miles and all off road riding- described by some as a parallel universe! The routes are endless and we love exploring, if you're lucky you may even spot the herd of wild horses who inhabit the top of the Brown Clee.
The routes are suitable for riders happy cantering, although equally if you want to chill and admire the scenery the horses are happy to do that too.
