Wow - What a hidden gem this place really is, I am so glad I found it!I was a keen horse rider in my youth yet following a car accident, haven’t properly been on a horse in nearly 10 years. Communication beforehand was great with emails and calls responded to very quickly. I booked a lesson for the first day to refresh myself on the basics, and was paired with ‘Cob’ who was a great horse. This session was with Eva who was fantastic. From the minute I met her, I was completely at ease and made to feel very comfortable. She skilfully and patiently got me back up to speed ready for my hack the following day.On my second day I went on a hack with Gabby who was as equally fantastic and extremely friendly. I was paired with ‘Flash’ on this day who was a gentle horse (who wanted to eat all the grass) Gabby was very professional yet personable, although I fear I chewed her ear off whilst taking in the amazing views and scenery across the estate.I would also like to thank the owner, Steph. Very approachable, down to earth and I sensed she really cares. This culture is evident in all of her staff, who are all exceptionally polite, welcoming and friendly.Because of how I was treated I am now looking to reignite my passion for horse riding all thanks to these lovely and amazing people! My partner Danny made use of the on-site cafe who was also made to feel welcome. Steph did warn us about the homemade cakes, and she was right we couldn’t resistI would not hesitate to return here and I only wish I lived closer so I could become a more regular visitor!Thank you allMollie x

My friend and I had such a fab ride over the brown clee last weekend after having an assessment lesson as we were new to Country Treks a couple of weeks beforehand. Communication before both rides was great, yard is great, staff were very welcoming and friendly and the brown clee ride was very special. I had Daphne who was a complete dream. The views were incredible and it was great to have Gabby taking us out. She is a complete professional and fantastic company, too. We'll definitely be back.

To anyone who is umming and aaahing about coming here.... Just do it.
I've been having lessons/hack adhoc over the last 6 weeks or so, having not ridden a horse for nearly 40 years.
What a stunning location, with amazingly friendly and helpful people... Its a hidden treasure.
My fear of looking like someone trying to relive their youth were soon dissipated.
Lizzie with all my lesson requests via email - thank you ,
Ash is so patient in teaching, makes it fun, puts you at ease and explains what to do and why (twice for me as it never sinks in first time) - you are a
Stef a fab place you have here....

I came back to riding in Autumn 2021 after a long break and was a bit apprehensive but choosing Country Treks to ride has been the best decision I could have ever made. Every single member of staff is utterly delightful and it is so comforting to know that whichever of the horses is bought out for me I will have a wonderful ride. My confidence has soared and I am now a much better rider in my 40's than I was in my 20's. Superb leadership fosters a great spirit and the whole ethos and community of Country Treks is so supportive and inclusive. The standard of coaching is very high indeed and that coupled with the hacking in the beautiful countryside really is the horsey dream.
